ILLINOIS -- A bill being proposed in the state legislature would honor a fallen officer. Senator Jason Barickman (R), of Bloomington, has filed a bill to rename a stretch of I-55 after Casey Kohlmeier.

He was a Pontiac police officer who was killed by a drunk driver this fall. His K-9, Draco, died in the crash as well. Barickman got the idea from the Pontiac police chief who wants the state to honor the officers for their service.
