Beef House serves up tradition

COVINGTON, Ind. (WCIA)  -- Warm rolls drizzled in butter are a staple of this area restaurant.

And don't forget about the mouthwatering steaks in our town Covington. The Beef House was born in 1964.

It started as a small joint to get a fresh cut of beef cooked over a charcoal grill. Since then it's turned into a restaurant that can seat more than 500.

They also have a dinner theater and banquet hall. The owner says after graduation he decided to put his degree towards adding something new to the menu.

Three generations of the Wright family have worked here. Bob Wright says over a holiday weekend they often serve upwards of 7,000 guests.

And people come from all over to dine in at what some call the best steakhouse in the Midwest.
