TUSCOLA -- A Neoga teen is slowly getting back to her old self after a life-saving surgery. Now people are making a splash to help her in recovery. A dunk tank was just one part of the Morgan Miller Benefit.

Several pageant queens organized the fun-filled day. Morgan won Miss Teen Neoga earlier this summer, right before a medical disorder in her brain nearly killed her.

The event included a car show, inflatables, bake sale, and more. Morgan's mother stopped by and said all the support has been overwhelming.

"I think she's very pleased that people would support her in that way and I think that in the future that she will turn around and try and do that for other people," Jennifer Miller said.

"It doesn't matter how much money we give to her as long as we give her money. Just to help her, we'll do anything for her," said organizer Machyliana Tovar.

The event started with a walk around Ervin Park that raised nearly $300 alone. Organizers estimate they've collected about $1,300 total. All the donations will help Morgan’s family with medical expenses.
