MACON COUNTY -- The Macon County Board will vote Wednesday night on a proposal to increase the county clerk's salary. The proposal calls for a 20% raise over four years.

It would give the clerk pay similar to other county office-holders in the area. The increase wouldn't kick in until after the November election.
