Bomb scare at high school

LITCHFIELD -- Authorities are investigating a bomb threat to a Calhoun County high school. About 1 pm, Monday, the sheriff's department was notified a letter was found inside Calhoun County High School stating a bomb was in the building. Multiple law enforcement departments responded to the scene.

The building was evacuated. K-9 officers from the Secretary of State Police and State Capitol police were used in a thorough search of the building, but no devices were found. The investigation is being conducted by Illinois State Police.
