CHAMPAIGN -- Business leaders got together to discuss the city's economy. It's seen a lot of growth the past few years. The city's unemployment rate is 5.6%; more than two percent lower than the state average.

The mayor says businessmen, like Joe McNamara, made it possible. He moved away from the area years ago, but came back. The population has also increased. Almost 2,400 people moved to Champaign in the past four years.
