URBANA -- A new school is coming to Urbana-Champaign. It will be the Campus Middle School for Boys; a counterpart to the Campus Middle School for Girls.

It's been a long time coming. The Middle School for Girls has been around for 20-years. The director says parents have always wanted a boys' school, and now it looks like it's going to happen.

Earlier this year, the school did research to see what the community wants. After getting loads of positive feedback, the plans started.

The structure of the boys' school will be similar to the girls' school; smaller class sizes, outreach on campus and gender-focused learning. Leaders plan to have it up and running by August 2014.

Administrators already have a building in mind for the school, but they don't want to say where until the lease has been signed. That big announcement could come in December.

The director says the tuition will be the same for the boys' school, or just over $9,000 per year. Administrators will be at Lincoln Square Mall Saturday handing out information pamphlets to people who are interested.
