Teens got a surprise as they pulled up to Meridian High School this morning. Macon County Safe Kids was there to check just how many students buckle up.
The group did a survey at the high school and found only 67% wear a seatbelt. Officials want that number to go up.
Kids wearing seatbelts got a dollar. Those without got a fake ticket. It was just one event the school did for Teen Safe Driving Week.
