MONTICELLO -- A norovirus outbreak means no camp this week for kids at the 4-H Memorial Camp. Nearly 40 campers and counselors came down with the stomach bug Thursday, but that didn't stop a church group from using the facilities this weekend.

Before the group came, the bathrooms were cleaned top to bottom with bleach. The regular camp session has been canceled because they want time for the staff to get better.

The leader of the church camp says they've never had a problem with illness in the past. They've been using the 4-H Memorial Camp facilities one weekend a summer for years.

He says everyone in their group is in good health and they departed from the ground Sunday afternoon after arriving Thursday night.
