Car Accident Turns Violent in Rantoul

RANTOUL-- Four men face multiple charges after a late night traffic accident turned violent.  The fight started around 10:50 pm Thursday night at Colonial Liquors.  Police say four men were arguing over a traffic accident in the parking lot, when the argument turned physical. Police say one suspect even used what appeared to be a broom handle to strike another.  Police were forced to use pepper spray to break up the fight, and one man was tasered.  Lawrence Agnew, 21, of Champaign, Keith Davis, 21, of Rantoul, Shamaka Haymon, 25, of Champaign, and Mark Morton, 31, of Rantoul were all arrested.  They face multiple charges including aggravated battery, mob action, and resisting a peace officer.
