Saturday, the autocross event took place at Richland Community College. The goal of the driving competition was to test speed and accuracy on the course.
"It is knowing how to control your car and a lot of very fast maneuvering and takes skills and it makes you a better driver," said Dennis Miller, a member of the Club. "BMW runs a course they call defensive driving to teach teenagers how to control the car, and this is a great way to do that also."
The group hosted the event in order to raise money for a scholarship they give to automotive students at the college.
