CHAMPAIGN -- It was sink or swim for competitors. Sunday was the fourth annual Cardboard Cup Race at Sholem Aquatic Center. The boats were created using only cardboard, duct tape and rubber cement.

Most of the ships sunk almost immediately, but not for one excited kid. Joel Wattles' grandfather helped him build the winning boat. There were also prizes given out for the most creative boat and best costume.
