CHAMPAIGN -- It's a disease public health is always keeping an eye out for. A few days ago, a 21-year old man came down with meningitis.

Champaign-Urbana Public Health District says not to worry. He had viral meningitis, which is not as serious as bacterial. That's the kind which needs immediate medical attention and can be deadly.

Viral meningitis clears up on its own. You can get it from mosquitoes, so public health officials say it's good to cover up.

Symptoms for both include headaches, high fever, stiff neck and vomiting. If you're experiencing those symptoms, officials say it's always good to see a doctor.
