Ceremonies mark 70th anniversary invasion of France

SPRINGFIELD -- Friday marks the 70th anniversary of the U.S. invading France. A number of D-Day ceremonies took place, including one at Oak Ridge Cemetery. It honored World War II veterans who fought.

There were guest speakers on hand paying tribute to D-Day veterans, including Senator Dick Durbin (D). The governor has officially declared June 6, D-Day Remembrance Day for the state of Illinois.
