Childhood illnesses on the rise

SPRINGFIELD -- Some diseases many considered eradicated are now making a comeback. State leaders want to know why. The state senate is forming a special subcommittee on immunizations.

Diseases like measles and whooping cough are popping back up. Around the country, measles is at its highest number in 20-years. The committee will hold several hearings to figure out if they way vaccinations are handled is really working.
