CHARLESTON -- The way some roads are being treated has changed. Charleston only has 160 tons of salt left. It it will be mixed with sand, plus, only intersections and hills will be treated after the snow is done falling.

The director of public works says it was necessary to make sure there is enough salt to make it through this storm. The city has ordered more salt, but it doesn't know when it will arrive. Until then, they ask drivers to slow down since roads could remain snow-packed longer without the salt.
