City council approves traffic project

CHAMPAIGN -- Traffic may soon move a little faster through one of town's busiest intersections. Tuesday night, the city council approved a traffic signal timing project.

It will time how many cars pass through Prospect north of the interstate and Neil Street. If it's too slow, public works will change the signal timing.

Work will begin this fall. The project will cost the city about $50,000.
