CHARLESTON -- Just a week after Coles County banned synthetic drugs, the city is looking to do the same. Tuesday night, the city council will discuss the issue.

Members want to update the city's ordinance which dates back to 1980. Back then, synthetic drugs didn't exist. The mayor says the ban will be general so it's easier to prosecute. They'll vote on it next week.
