CHAMPAIGN -- City leaders want to get in on medical marijuana. Last week, Urbana city officials made some changes for a possible site there.

Monday, Champaign leaders announced they won't have to change their zoning ordinance to accommodate medical marijuana stores. The dispensaries themselves would fit into retail categories which are already permitted in the city.

But, there are restrictions where a shop could go. In Champaign, it would be a few block east of Apollo Drive on the north side of the city.
