DECATUR -- Traffic lights at one intersection will be used again early Friday morning. The Oakland Avenue and Main Street signals were set to flash in February and have been used as a four-way stop for drivers ever since.

City leaders monitored traffic, efficiency and operating costs the past few months. They now say it's best as a signaling intersection.

John Phillips owns a gas station on the corner. He says he sides with the city. Leaders say four-way stops are more cost-efficient than signaling intersections, but with mixed results from the study, they believe it's better to side with the public.
