CHAMPAIGN -- City leaders from Champaign and Normal are meeting at the Corn Crib tonight.  Although it is more of a social event, Mayor Don Gerard says they may talk a little business too.
Gerard says both Champaign and Normal have success stories when it comes to staying above the struggling economy. He hopes the two cities can learn from each other to continue that trend.
The Cornbelters do have a game tonight. The city leaders will get to enjoy that game after they talk business.
It is no secret that Mayor Gerard wants Champaign to have it's own baseball team.  He says he will pick their brains about the Cornbelters but he is also looking forward to experiencing his first game at the Corn Crib.
