CHAMPAIGN -- The city is requesting more money for snow removal, but it says it’s ready for the next round of snow. Crews started salting the roads around 7:00 pm Monday.

Officials say there is still enough salt for this round. They budgeted for 24 inches of snow this winter, and Champaign has already gotten 20. The city is asking for $200,000 in extra money to keep up with snow removal.
