Closing JDC Still at Issue

The Commission on Government Forecasting & Accountability will soon make a recommendation on the future of the Jacksonville Developmental Center. The group held a hearing where Governor Quinn's staff laid out plans to move residents into group homes.
Families told the board, it may not be best for all of them. Even some JDC residents say they want to stay. The commission recommended the facility stay open last fall when Quinn first tried to close it. Now, he's aiming for October.
