EFFINGHAM -- Two men from Nebraska are being held in Missouri for an armed robbery at a local business.
Allen McCray, 19, and Victor Linton, 23, were arrested in Missouri, Friday, about 12:45 am, when police responded to a report of shots fired.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigations, with detectives from Effingham County Sheriff's Office, determined the men were responsible for the theft at Prime Sole, on April 19.
During that crime, the suspects stole items from the store and shot at employees when they were asked to return the items.
Each is charged with four felonies: armed violence, armed robbery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and burglary. Bond, for each, is set at $750,000.
Authorities say the crime was an "isolated incident" and they're confident the men were working alone. They credit the ease of communication with other law enforcement agencies for a quick resolution to the crime.
