CHAMPAIGN -- The community discussion continues on where to put Central High School. Saturday, the Champaign Park District held "Playing in the Park" at Spalding, the latest Central site option.

There was a DJ, 3 point shoot-out contests and performances. Many residents don't want to replace the park with a school and people have spoken out. One family, who uses the park regularly, say a central location is more convenient and they would go to another park to play.

At a meeting this week, residents took a survey about where they'd like to see the new Central High School; 78% said Interstate Drive, 22% wanted Spalding Park.

The district hopes to make a decision by August.
