UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Some UI employees may not get a raise for the upcoming school year. The university ended its agreement with a campus union after it voted against the university's final offer.

That means 300-visiting academic professionals aren't expected to get raises. Last month, university leaders said they planned to give merit raises to workers this fall.

Union leaders are meeting with legal staff to review their options.
