Couple Killed In Decatur Shooting

DECATUR - Decatur police are searching for suspects behind a deadly shooting. It happened around 10:45pm Saturday on the 1200 block of North Clinton Street. Police were called out after a witness heard gunshots. When officers got there they found two people dead. They both had been shot. According to neighbors and Macon County Coroner Michael Day, their names are Freedom Cunningham, age 34 and his wife 26 year old Central Cunningham. Autopsies on both individuals are set for Monday, April 9, 2012 at the McClean County Morgue.

No arrests have been made. Police are investigating the scene and executing search warrants. Anyone with information that can help solve this crime is asked to call Decatur Police at 217-424-2711. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 217-423-TIPS (8477). A tip to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest will result in a $1,000 reward.
