Court Orders New Trial in Murder/Rape Case

A man convicted in the 1980 rape and murder of a 3-year old Rantoul girl, gets a new trial. 50-year old Andre Davis is serving an 80-year sentence after being convicted twice for killing Brianna Stickle.     Davis requested DNA testing to prove his innocence. That testing was not available at the time of his arrest.
The appellate court ordered a new trial this week when it was determined none of the evidence matched Davis' DNA.
