Cuts may not be as deep as expected

DECATUR -- The library is facing some big budget cuts. Thursday, the board voted to drop library security and the Baby Talk Program. That's about $35,300 from expenses.

Last month, board members told the library to make $500,000 - $700,000 in cuts. City librarian Lee Ann Fisher says the library isn't in that big of a hole and expects the cuts to be less than originally expected.
