DECATUR -- Hundreds came together Saturday to make people's day just a little bit easier. 400 Millikin students, along with 200 more from the community, participated in the United Way's Day of Action.

Volunteers had fun with kids in the Special Olympics, bowling and eating lunch. So many people showed up, they filled nearly every lane.

"We live in a very giving, very, very caring community. Decatur-Macon County area has always been that way. It's really breathtaking and inspiring to see how much this community continues to give," organizer James Keith said.
