It was a deadly night in Southern Illinois and Missouri. In Harrisburg, IL, officials are dealing with a loss of life and the loss of millions of dollars in property.

At least three people were killed early this morning when a tornado hit Harrisburg. An estimated 100 are hurt, and 250-300 homes and businesses are damaged or destroyed.
Numerous power lines are down, and gas lines are also leaking. The National Weather Service is headed to the area to assess the damage.
A shelter is open at the First Baptist Church on N. Main Street. Donations may be made to the Red Cross or Salvation Army.
A total of at least ten people were killed as the storm system moved through parts of Kansas and Missouri, as well as Illinois.
