It happened in the Dobbins Downs neighborhood in the past week. Police believe those two robberies are connected.
"I had a little bit of a bad feeling about it," said Aaron Sullivan, the Domino’s driver who was robbed. Sullivan wishes he'd trusted his gut last Friday night.
He got a call to deliver a pizza to the 1500-block of Kings Way Drive.
"I got up to the apartment building and realized there was actually nobody occupying said apartment and there were tracks going behind the apartment,” Sullivan said. “So once I saw that, I figured what was about to happen was about to happen."
He trusted his instincts and tried to take off.
“I turned around and tried to high-tail it back to the car,” Sullivan said. “Next thing I know I hear a round chamber into this guy's gun. And I turned around going 'whoa,' as loud as I can, figuring someone might hear me or something."
The man forced Sullivan to the ground and asked for everything he had. Aaron says he handed over the $48 from the pizza place he had in his pocket, his cell phone and the pizza. The man took off.
“I do a lot of martial arts,” Sullivan said. “As long as you're not trying to come up and hurt me with your bare hands it's fine, but if you have a gun: you win. I will just lay down."
Police say the next night a home repairman a few blocks over on Dobbins Drive was finishing up his work. They believe the same man or someone involved with him pointed a gun at the repairman and got away with cash.
You might think that would leave a guy like Sullivan shaken but ,surprisingly, he says it doesn't.
“Once I realized that he wasn't going to attack me or anything, he didn't want what I had it was no big deal, just another crappy incident basically," Sullivan said.
Both victims described a black man between 160 - 215 pounds. He was wearing dark and baggy clothing.
