CHAMPAIGN -- The DMV was evacuated for several hours this afternoon. Customers say they were asked to leave the building on Bradley Avenue. The Secretary of State's Office says there was a sewer gas leak.

One customer wasn't happy about the inconvenience. The office did reopen, but was closed again within an half-hour. They say the smell was too much to handle, but they plan on being open as usual Saturday morning.
