Doctor admits addiction when accused of forgery, loses license

DECATUR -- A doctor's license was suspended after he admitted forging prescriptions. Dr. Trevor Lineberry was an OB-GYN at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

The State's Attorney's Office says he signed names of other doctors to get painkillers. Public records show he was already on probation for the same issue in 2011.

Lineberry won't have a license for six months. He also faces forgery, possession of a controlled substance and burglary charges.

DECATUR -- A doctor was arrested for forging signatures for prescription drugs. 41-year old Trevor Lineberry is an OB-GYN at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Police say he admitted in a sworn statement he has an addiction to painkillers. The State's Attorney's Office says Lineberry was forging the names of other doctors to get prescriptions.
