WILL COUNTY, Ill. - WILL COUNTY -- The trucker responsible for a 2014 crash which killed five people, including three from Urbana, will spend ten years in jail.
53-year old Francisco Espinal-Quiroz pleaded guilty in November to reckless homicide and falsifying his logbook. Espinal-Quiroz was driving on I-55, near Joliet, when his truck ran into vehicles stopped at a construction zone.
Urbana residents, 43-year old Kimberly Britton and her 11-year old daughter, Piper, were killed at the scene. 64-year old husband and father, Timothy Osburn, died later at the hospital.
Two others were also killed in the crash.
