EFFINGHAM COUNTY -- The name of a man who died Sunday in the Little Wabash River has been released. Authorities say Andrew Donsbach, 26, of Effingham, drown. Final autopsy results and toxicology tests are pending.

Sunday, the Effingham County Dive Rescue Team was called to assist the Watson Fire Department at a drowning about a half mile south of Route 45 and 300 North, about 3:30 pm. Officials say Donsbach had been trying to retrieve a boat which broke from its mooring. He was overcome by swift water and strainers in river.
