WASHINGTON -- While people continue to rebuild in Washington, the other Washington is responding to the damage. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, (D-Illinois), witnessed the aftermath firsthand.

Meanwhile, the Springfield native mentioned Saturday's football game. His three children attended Sacred Heart-Griffin, but he says that rivalry isn't what's important.

He says he's working on the conversation of federal aid with the White House. Durbin says the damage from this tornado is the worst he's ever seen.
