CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Early voting starts Tuesday at seven different places in the county. It's all leading up to next week's election.

County Clerk Gordy Hulten says he expects about 25-percent voter turnout. But, it's not so much about the numbers, but rather getting people in the habit of voting. He says if people like voting early, he wants to make sure they can do that.

The first time the county tried adding extra locations for early voting was in November. Hulten says he plans to do something like this for all county-wide elections in the future.

There are three extra locations in Champaign-Urbana and one each in Tolono, St. Joseph, Rantoul and Mahomet. Voters can also cast a ballot at the County Clerk's office.

A few other last-minute changes for those who usually vote at the Champaign County Farm Bureau or Parkland Agricultural Center. They will all vote at the Parkland Applied Technology Center instead.
