CHAMPAIGN -- A life-sized memorial for Roger Ebert was dedicated Thursday outside the Virginia Theatre. His wife, Chaz, as well as dozens of others came to see it. For the bronze statue, Roger's giving his famous "thumbs up" sign and sitting between two empty theater seats where visitors can sit.

Chaz says he considered Urbana-Champaign to be the center of the universe and always loved coming back for Ebertfest. The statue was first unveiled during the festival this year. Now Roger will always be "at the movies."
