CHAMPAIGN -- An area non-profit is helping kids grow as they learn to take care of plants and vegetables. It's called Prosperity Gardens. The executive director says they use vacant space around the city to teach kids how to garden and how to work hard.

At-risk youth from the area plant, weed and harvest during the week. On Thursdays, they sell the fruits of their labor at their own market. Organizers say they plan to take their show on the road and have a mobile market.
