PEORIA -- Passengers say they were terrified when an airplane made an emergency landing. It landed at Peoria International Airport when it was on its way to Chicago from Denver. It was diverted because of weather.

Passenger say when the plane was approaching Peoria, smoke began to billow out of the ceiling. When the plane landed, passengers went out emergency exits onto the wings and jumped.

Passengers are getting their money back for the flight. Several other planes were also diverted to Peoria last night because of weather.
