ILLINOIS -- The Illinois horse racing industry is breathing a sigh of relief after Governor Quinn signed a law extending online betting Wednesday. Without it, there would have only been enough money to race thirteen days this year.

It would have left nearly 40,000 people in the state without jobs. The extension will keep the industry going for at least the next five years.
