TOLONO, Ill. (WCIA) -- A mother is desperately pleading to find her missing daughter. Misty Henderson last talked to her family Saturday night, but by Sunday morning, she had vanished.
Her family has been frantically searching since Sunday.
"We're very close, you know? She's my mini-me. She looks just like me."
19-year old Misty Joy Henderson talks to her mom every morning, so when her mother didn't hear from her Sunday, she knew something was wrong.
"I tried calling her and her phone rang and she didn't answer and the next call I got was from my sister."
Misty was house-sitting for her aunt in Homer. They talked at 6 pm, Saturday night, but when the aunt got home the next morning, Misty was gone.
"She just disappeared, like vanished, her phone's off, her Snapchat, everything's off."
Police say the door was unlocked and her belongings were gone, but it's not stopping the family. They've made posters and are searching the streets.
"We're going to search the towns, the tracks, out there at Homer Lake and surrounding towns after that."
Her mother says she just has one thing to say to her daughter: "Just call and let us know you're okay. Use somebody's phone or Facebook or something. Let us know that you're okay."
They say it's unlike Misty to have her phone off. She even carries a portable charger with her but, since 8 pm, Sunday, her phone's been going straight to voicemail.
