CHAMPAIGN -- Fans have been supporting Team USA in a big way during the World Cup. A bunch of people were at Guido's watching the Americans take on the Germans.

Ratings for Sunday's game against Portugal were higher than events like the NBA finals or the World Series. But, fans had a different challenge watching Thursday since it kicked off at 11 am; getting off work!

Ian Rolon, of Savoy, says, "Definitely big bummer for us, but we have flexible lunch. We can take it a little bit early if we needed to, so that kind of worked out for us. We came in towards the midway point of the game to try to see the best parts."

The manager at Guido's says they've had all the World Cup games on so far this summer. Fans say they enjoy getting together to eat and watch, plus, they say it's fun to see current teammates face off against each other, like they do sometimes for the Olympics.
