SPRINGFIELD -- A rash of shootings is being investigated and authorities have called on the FBI for help. There have been more than 20 shootings in the Capitol City since early March.

At this point, investigators have identified several suspects; some of whom are teens. Officials believe they're linked and that there's a group of people behind the violence.

No one has been killed or seriously hurt, but police say they're beefing up patrols. Getting other agencies involved, like the FBI, means it's a serious situation and they want to stop the spike in violence immediately.

Officials ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous.
