NATIONAL -- The FBI wants to deter people from pointing lasers at planes. For the next 90 days, the Bureau will offer a reward and pay as much as $10,000 for information about anyone aiming one at an airplane.

In the Midwest, public safety messages are being posted at theaters in several states, including Illinois. The FBI says it's already seen a decrease, but during the first three months of this year, there were an average of ten cases reported daily.
