SPRINGFIELD -- The FBI is reaching across state lines to keep you safer. FBI Director James Comey was in Springfield Tuesday. He met with people in the FBI office there and local law enforcement.

Comey says the FBI wants to work more with cities and towns to fight 21st Century crimes like cyber-terrorism and cyber-security, all while working within the law.

Comey says new funding will make the agency twice the size it was before 9-11. It will have the reach to combat terror while also continuing its investigations of corruption and white collar crime.
