URBANA -- School starts in less than a week, but some kids won't get the supplies they need. For the past seven years, Neighborhood Connections Center gave away school supplies to the community.

But this year, they were short-staffed and couldn't collect donations. So, only kids who attended its summer program will get supplies. It's still taking donations and plans to give them to families who were turned away Monday.
