LUDLOW -- It took two days, but an area fire has finally stopped burning. Friday, a detached-garage caught fire in the 200-block of West Ludlow Street.

Several fire departments put out the flames, or so they thought. The fire started back up Saturday morning and the owner decided to let the house burn.

Crews kept it contained and, about 12 hours later, the fire was completely out. The cause is still under investigation.

LUDLOW -- A home was still burning Saturday after it went up in flames Friday. A detached-garage caught fire in the 200-block of West Ludlow Street.

Several fire departments tried to put it out and thought it had been completely extinguished. They were called back to the house at 3:30 am Saturday and the homeowner told them to just "let it go."

In the 12 hours the fire was out, the homeowners were able to save pictures and pet fish.
