HUDSON -- The Bloomington firefighter who died in the line of duty had local ties. Chris Brown graduated from Charleston High School in 1992.

Tuesday, Brown was helping stranded drivers during the snowstorm. A semi hit several emergency vehicles and hurt every firefighter on the scene.

The driver of the semi which lost control was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions and breaking Scott's Law. It's also know as the "Move Over Law."

It means drivers must slow down, change lanes and be cautious when approaching an emergency vehicle. The driver could be fined up to $10,000 or lose his license for up to two years.
